Little sisters are hard to get along with. They want to play tag with you, but they’re slower because they’re younger. Not to mention they’re girls.
They want to play hide-and-seek, but only know three hiding places in the whole backyard.
They want to play He-Man, but don’t even know if Clawful is good or evil.
They cry when you throw rocks at them, even if you miss on purpose.
They tattle when you eat all the frosting off their cake.
They get dirtbikes and want to ride all over the backyard tracks you build.
But they also play Scrabble with you, even if they’re too young to spell.
And Raggedy Andys look a little silly alone.

We found out this week that Zach’s going to have a little sister. I’m trying to convince my wife to name her ‘Raggedy.’

PS That boy of ours likes to smile for pictures way too much. How long did it take him to look at Ann instead of grinning at the camera?
Oh, about 12 pictures… but I like looking at his smile, too. He crinkles his nose like his mom.
Congratulations! And btw, little sisters are a pain whether you’re a boy or a girl. But in the end, you wouldn’t trade ’em in on say a Toyota; maybe a Porsche, but not a Toyota anyway.

I had both a big sister, and a little one…. from a personal standpoint, the little one was nicer, but the older one was way more stable…. they’re all unique, aren’t they?…. I didn’t mention that my sister was the fastest, most coordinated child in our family. We still play catch every time I go back to LA.
I like the running bumper sticker: ‘Get in touch with your inner-Kenyan.’

I remember Disneyland very well! We stayed at the hotel the night before. I believe on one ride, you told us that Morrie had peed his pants! Good times.

On another note . . . My Aunt used to make these dolls and sell them; to be honest, I found them to be rather creepy as a child. Knowing their story as I do now, I’m disposed to feel warmth toward the brother-sister duo.
While I did have a brother who was 6 years my senior, he had no desire to be a big brother to me in any fashion. It looks as if your children will be quite close in age, which will certainly foster a companionship and the frequency in which they impart mutiny on you and your wife 🙂

My wife and I are planning on having a baby every nine and a half months… well, that’s how often I’m planning it. My wife doesn’t know that yet.

OMG you are so wrong about girls, i was nothing like that, and neither were my friends, and i was hide and seek champion of sorts,came up with new places even if that meant getting ant bites..except this one time when i hid behind a mini van and it took off ..but only one time 🙂
